Outpatient NeurologistA well-established regional health system in Mattoon, Illinois is adding a full-time outpatient neurologist to an existing clinic team. The practice is located within the main hospital building and operates as a structured outpatient environment with predictable scheduling, no mandatory hospital call obligations, and an established referral base already in place. The position offers flexibility to shape your practice scope based on clinical interests.Schedule Monday through Friday, standard outpatient clinic hours. No mandatory after-hours hospital call. Restricted call is limited to reviewing critical lab values as needed. Optional inpatient coverage is available for physicians who prefer to maintain some acute care exposure.Compensation $475,000 base salary per year, with RVU-based production bonuses for output exceeding the base threshold. An annual quality incentive of up to 10% of base salary (capped at $50,000) applies once the practice is fully established and baseline metrics are met.You will deliver comprehensive outpatient neurological evaluations, diagnoses, and individualized treatment plans across a diverse patient population. Day-to-day practice involves collaborating with a team of two physicians and one advanced practice provider, all currently in place. The workflow is structured for outpatient continuity, and you will maintain accurate electronic medical records for all clinical encounters and consultations.The role supports practice customization based on your clinical background. Physicians with EEG reading experience are encouraged to incorporate that into their scope, though it is not required. EMG interpretation is also available as an optional component.
