Medical Assistant Endocrinology

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant will perform standard clinical and administrative duties in an outpatient Endocrinology Clinic. Responsibilities include collecting and recording patient vitals, rooming patients, preparing exam rooms, supporting healthcare providers during patient care, and assisting with front office tasks as needed. The role requires proficiency in healthcare terminology, use of the EPIC charting system, and flexibility to float to other areas within skillset. This position works 5 days per week on 8-hour day shifts with no on-call requirements.

Responsibilities:

Collect and record patient vital signs accurately.
Room patients and prepare exam rooms for visits and procedures.
Set up rooms for various clinical procedures.
Support healthcare providers during patient care activities.
Assist with front office tasks as needed to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Utilize EPIC charting system for documentation and patient record management.
Float to other clinical areas within skillset to meet facility needs.

Required Skills & Certifications:

Current and active Medical Assistant Certification (MA-C) at start of employment.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Minimum of 1 year relevant healthcare experience.
Proficiency in healthcare terminology.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

Experience working in outpatient specialty clinics, particularly endocrinology.
Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system.

Special Considerations:

No on-call duties required.
Pending MA-C licenses are not accepted; certification must be active at submission.
First-time travelers are accepted for this role.
Report time off requests (RTO) at submission and confirm with hiring manager.

Scheduling:

Five days per week, 8-hour day shifts.
Shift schedule determined by clinic needs; primarily day shifts.
