Opportunity:

Ultrasound Technologist - Ultrasound Tech

Job Details:

• Perform general, vascular, and OB ultrasound studies
• Conduct neonatal head and abdomen scans, liver duplex, pelvic, and vascular studies
• Average daily case load of 6 to 14 patients per technologist
• Work in a department with 3 general rooms, 1 vascular room, and 1 ED room
• Perform bedside portable ultrasound throughout the hospital as needed
• Weekend rotation based on scheduling needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Holiday coverage required if holiday falls on a regularly scheduled workday
• Mostly set schedule cycle
• Orientation includes NEO and 2 to 3 shifts in the department
• Charting system: EPIC EMR, Pyxis medication dispensing, Change Healthcare PACS
• Equipment used: Logic E9, Logic E10, Parksflow, and GE Scanners
• Required certifications: BLS, ARDMS-OB, RVT, or ABD
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Experience with general, vascular, and OB ultrasound required
• Scrub color: Any color, no denim or camouflage, must be professional
• Free parking available in designated employee areas

Facility:

This facility is a 228-bed teaching hospital and Level IV Trauma Center, also designated as a Level III NICU and Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center. The ultrasound department is supported by fellow sonographers, a Lead Sonographer, Respiratory Therapy available 24/7, a Rapid Response and Code Team, and a Manager and Supervisor available during weekdays. The facility provides a collaborative and well-resourced environment for imaging professionals.
