Associate Chemist - Toxicology

Labcorp seeks an Associate Chemist for its Toxicology team in Burlington, North Carolina. The role involves reviewing and certifying LC/MS data, maintaining analytical instrumentation, and performing qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses in a clinical laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Review and certify LC/MS data using Analyst and Ascent software; verify calibration and quality controls
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot analytical equipment including GC, HPLC, and UPLC-MS/MS
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses on organic and inorganic samples
• Evaluate raw and final data for accuracy; identify and correct errors
• Assist with training new employees and provide guidance on data interpretation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• Two or more years of clinical laboratory testing experience or MLS degree
• Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
