The restaurant’s roots trace back to years spent in kitchens across the country and inspiration drawn from Parisian chef residencies — where collaboration, creativity, and community are at the core.

Named after Marina Beach in India, the restaurant pays homage to the founder’s family roots. Today, it stands as a small, open-kitchen wine bar by the water, celebrating craftsmanship, culture, and shared experience.

We believe that a premium guest experience starts with a supported and synchronized kitchen. The Kitchen Porter is the heartbeat of our operations, ensuring that the rhythm of the restaurant remains steady and the foundation remains clean.

This role exists to provide the essential support our culinary team needs to create heritage-driven dishes. By maintaining our space, managing our deliveries, and assisting with food prep, you ensure that our open kitchen remains a place of beauty and efficiency. You aren’t just behind the scenes; you are the guardian of the standards that allow our hospitality to shine.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness by washing and sanitizing all pots, pans, plates, glassware, and serviceware.
• Ensure the overall health of the restaurant through general cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, and maintaining large equipment and refrigerators.
• Support the culinary team with basic food prep and kitchen tasks as needed.
• Manage the arrival of goods by unpacking and storing deliveries with care and organization.
• Process and store fresh produce to ensure the integrity of our ingredients.
• Keep your station organized and functional, adhering to high sanitation standards at all times.
• Manage the disposal of trash and recycling to keep our workspace clear and safe.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to adapt to the shifting needs of a busy service.
• Safely stand for the duration of an 8-hour shift and lift up to 40 lbs as required by the flow of the kitchen.
• Availability Needed: Wednesday 1:00-8:00pm and Thursday-Saturday 2:00-10:30pm.

Who Will Thrive In This Role

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen is preferred, but we are happy to train someone with the right attitude and work ethic.
• Punctual and reliable; you understand that the team depends on your presence to start the day right.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• A thoughtful and considerate teammate who takes pride in caring for the space, the team, and themselves.
