Cardiology Physician Assistant

Seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a growing General Cardiology team in Lewiston, Maine, providing comprehensive cardiovascular care across both inpatient and outpatient settings in a collaborative, physician-led environment. Position Highlights: Full-time position Provide comprehensive cardiovascular evaluations and ongoing patient management Manage inpatient cardiology consults and outpatient follow-up visits Collaborate closely with cardiologists in developing and implementing treatment plans Order, interpret, and review diagnostic studies including ECGs, stress tests, echocardiograms, and ambulatory monitoring Educate patients on cardiovascular disease prevention, treatment options, and medication management Coordinate care with physicians, APPs, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams Participate in shared call coverage as part of the cardiology service line Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the electronic medical record Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program Current and unrestricted NP or PA certification Eligible for Maine state licensure Strong clinical judgment and patient management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Minimum two years Cardiology or internal medicine experience required Compensation & Benefits May Include: Competitive compensation with potential productivity incentives Sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates Relocation assistance available Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance Retirement plan with employer contribution Paid time off CME allowance and professional development support Malpractice coverage included Location & Lifestyle: Enjoy life in a welcoming Southern Maine community that offers a strong balance of professional opportunity and quality of life.
