Porchlight is a family of nine home-service brands — heating and air, plumbing, electrical, pest, lawn, cleaning, garage doors, windows, and restoration — with 640+ locations and roughly 7,500 frontline pros across 28 states. The Director of Talent leads how this company attracts, hires, and grows its people, from the apprentice in a first job to the regional leaders running multi-state operations.

This is the most senior talent role at Porchlight. You set the strategy, build the team, and own the outcomes.

The role

You lead the talent function across a fast-growing, multi-brand organization that opens 40+ locations a year and adds new brands through acquisition. You're responsible for full-cycle talent acquisition across corporate, field, and franchise hiring — partnering with brand presidents, operations leaders, and franchise owners to make sure every market has the people it needs to keep its promises to customers. You'll balance two realities at once: a corporate and leadership pipeline that demands precision, and a high-volume frontline engine that never stops hiring.

What you'll own

• Talent strategy. Define and lead Porchlight's hiring strategy across all nine brands and every level — from frontline crews to corporate leadership.
• Team leadership. Build, lead, and develop the recruiting organization; set goals, structure, and standards for recruiters and coordinators across the platform.
• Talent acquisition. Own full-cycle hiring outcomes — sourcing, screening, interviewing, offers — and the candidate experience that goes with them.
• Employer brand. Position Porchlight as an employer of choice in the trades, across corporate, field, and franchise audiences.
• Workforce planning. Partner with operations and finance to forecast hiring needs against growth, seasonality, and turnover, and staff ahead of demand.
• Process and systems. Own the recruiting tech stack, hiring workflows, and the metrics that run them — time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, quality of hire, retention.
• Compliance. Govern licensing, background, and screening requirements across trades and states.

What we're looking for

• 10+ years in talent acquisition, including 5+ leading recruiting teams; experience owning a talent function end to end.
• A track record hiring at scale in distributed, multi-location, hourly, or franchise environments.
• Strong people leadership — you've built and developed recruiting teams, not just managed a pipeline.
• A balance of strategic and operational range: comfortable in the boardroom and in the field.
• Data-fluent; you set targets, instrument the funnel, and manage to results.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
