General Function There are 4 positions, as follows:
Utility Maintenance/Water - 2 positions budgeted for 40 hours a week for 26 weeks
Utility Maintenance/Sewer-Storm - 2 positions budgeted for 40 hours a week for 26 weeks Under supervision, performs manual work and operates hand tools and small equipment to maintain drainage ditches, culverts, detention/retention ponds, and grounds, including maintenance facility, water distribution, sewer, and stormwater systems for the Public Works and Utilities Department.
Representative Essential Duties and Responsibilities

-Performs related work as assigned and/or required
Knowledge of:
High School graduate or GED equivalent preferred;
Previous experience in utility facilities maintenance or related field;
Valid Washington State driver's license;
Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Heavy physical labor. Lifting in excess of 50 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions. Employee risks physical hazard from mechanical equipment, traffic and exposure to noise, fumes and paint. Physical effort is required to perform heavy manual labor in uncomfortable, confined and dirty conditions.

- Operational characteristics, service and maintenance of water supply, storage, transmission, pumping and service;

- Proper lifting techniques.
- Operate and maintain assigned tools and equipment;
- Work cooperatively with other departments and divisions;
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
