Manager Patient Access

Job Summary The Manager of Patient Access at Ensemble leads the admitting, registration, and financial services departments for acute care sites. They coach staff, set performance goals, manage staffing and schedules, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations while improving customer service and revenue cycle performance. Job Responsibilities Directly manage operations of admitting, registration, and financial services departments. Supervise admitting staff responsible for MRN assignment, compliance checks, patient instructions, insurance data, physician orders, and customer service. Manage Financial Service Representatives ensuring proper accounting, cash drawer balance, deposits, account posting, and log submission. Develop and manage departmental staffing needs and work schedules to guarantee adequate coverage. Prepare monthly reports and collect, interpret, and communicate performance data to guide decision‑making. Coordinate with internal and external customers and ancillary departments to support revenue cycle goals. Assist in dyad‑reporting patient access staff development and provide training, education, goal‑setting, and performance interventions. Perform other duties as assigned. Employment Qualifications Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification. Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) certification. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Healthcare Management/Administration. Minimum 2–3 years of management experience in healthcare, preferably with patient access, managed care/insurance, or call center. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to work with IT for technological needs. Ability to prioritize, manage multiple priorities, and work with IT to meet departmental technical requirements. Experience with AI, including exploring, experimenting, and applying AI for process improvements. Compensation & Location Salary range: $63,100 – $94,650 per year based on experience.
