Part-Time Payroll Specialist / HR Administrator

Aria Group is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Part-Time Payroll Specialist / HR Administrator to join our growing Human Resources team.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys the accuracy and organization of payroll while also being comfortable supporting the day-to-day administrative needs of HR. The position will take primary responsibility for processing payroll and maintaining accurate payroll and employee records, while providing additional support related to benefits, HR systems, and general employee administration.

As Aria continues to grow, this role will help us maintain accurate, responsive, and efficient HR and payroll processes.

What You’ll Do

• Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees on a bi-monthly basis.
• Review timesheets, hours worked, PTO, deductions, garnishments, tax withholdings, and other payroll-related information.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee payroll questions.
• Maintain accurate payroll and employee records within our HRIS/payroll systems.
• Ensure payroll practices comply with applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
• Coordinate with our Finance team to ensure payroll transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
• Prepare payroll reports and assist with payroll and benefit account reconciliations.
• Support employee benefit administration, including enrollments, changes, and payroll deductions.
• Assist with employee onboarding, offboarding, and other HR administrative processes.
• Maintain employee information and documentation with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
• Provide general administrative support to the HR team as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience working with ADP WorkforceNow is required.
• Working knowledge of payroll procedures, deductions, tax withholding, and applicable payroll regulations.
• Previous experience supporting HR or employee benefits is preferred.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information appropriately.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and meet payroll deadlines.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.

About the Position

This is a part-time position based in our Oak Park office. We are looking for someone who can establish a consistent weekly schedule (Estimated 20 hours/week) and be available around payroll processing deadlines. The position is well suited for an experienced payroll professional looking for a part-time schedule while remaining actively involved in both payroll and HR operations. Salary range is $25-$30/hour
