WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be responsible for performing multiple clerical functions daily. The ideal candidate will be responsible for keeping and maintaining records of inbound and outbound trucks, preparing documents for shipment of customer orders and assisting with arranging for the transportation of products.

• Prepare sales orders for shipment to customer.
• Verify customer orders and validate order to information in Red Prairie and JD Edwards.
• Maintains record for all inbound loads.
• Prepare invoices and documents for bill of lading.
• Confirm truck gross weight before trailer gets loaded ensuring driver is aware of possible overweight.
• Confer or correspond with establishing representatives with any issues such as shortages, damages, or weight issues.
• Other duties as assigned

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must have excellent organizational and communication skills, knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer needs.
• Must have excellent business professionalism while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; plus, one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience,

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
• Experience with JD Edwards and Red Prairie WMS a plus

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to ascend and descend ramps, steps, ladders, stairs using three-point contact.
• Environment exposure_ hot/humid conditions (95 &degree; or above).
• Environmental exposure –cold/wet conditions (40 &degree; or below).
• Occasional exposure to warehouse/cold storage/shipping dock (34 degrees).
• Occasional exposure to environmental factors such as fumes, airborne particles and vibrations.
• Ability to lift, carry, push and/pull up to 30 lbs.; stand for prolonged periods of time; occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach and twist; climb steps/stairs.
• Operator office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard.

HOURS & WORKDAYS:

1st Shift – 6:15AM to 5:00PM Overtime, Weekends, and Holidays may be mandatory based on business needs. Rotating workday/time off schedules may be mandatory depending on department/business needs as well.
