To further this mission, Callen-Lorde promotes health education and wellness, and advocates for LGBTQ+ health issues.About the Role:Our Patient Care Associates play a vital role in ensuring a seamless patient experience. PCAs are the heart of our patient experience. They manage a high volume of calls, provide accurate information, and assist patients with their healthcare needs.Key Responsibilities:As a PCA, your responsibilities will include:Answering Phone Calls: Handle incoming calls from patients, providers, and other stakeholders, providing information and assistance as needed.Scheduling Appointments: Schedule and reschedule patient appointments, ensuring timely and efficient scheduling.Patient Registration: Register new and returning patients, collecting and verifying demographic and insurance information.Message Taking: Take accurate messages and route them to appropriate staff members.Data Entry: Input patient information into the electronic health record (EHR) system.Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot patient issues and concerns, escalating issues as needed.Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders.Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA regulations and other relevant compliance standards.Work Schedule:This is a full-time and hybrid position with evening hours.Benefits:Salary will be based on experience and will be accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package including an exceptional low cost medical plan option for you, your spouse/domestic partner and/or your family, dental insurance, vision insurance, no cost life insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, Flexible Spending Account, Tuition Assistance, commuter benefits, a generous paid time off plan, and a 403B retirement savings plan.Education, ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredExperience in a medical service environment, specifically with front desk activities preferredKnowledge of Federal & NY State patient privacy regulations/laws a plusDesired Characteristics, SkillsExcellent attention to detailStrong customer service skillsAbility to remain calm, focused, and helpful under stressAbility to multi-taskCommitment to the mission of Callen-Lorde #J-18808-Ljbffr
