POSITION SUMMARY

This position will work closely with the Logistics Supervisor in communicating and maintaining clean, efficient, and detailed operations regarding the goods and products that come to or pass through this facility. Must have a high level of understanding of on-mountain communication and safety protocols.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Responsible for maintaining proper storage, quality, freshness and rotation of food and beverage products

• Maintaining a professional level of cleanliness in all work areas

• Loading and staging of goods to be transported out of base area, and manage their movement around SSRC locations

• Receive and confirm uploaded product pallets repack if necessary

• Loading of delivery pallets onto haul cats and on-road vehicles

• Facilitate recycling by overseeing the organization and downloading of all waste materials from mountain lodges

• Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements

• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Food Safety Knowledge – Basic handling and storing procedures familiarity with health department regulations

• Organizational Skills – Must be able to organize and control mass quantities of products in transition from many points of origin to many points of destinations and be able to record and track when product deviates

• Strong knowledge of mountain trails, traffic patterns and operations

• Safely operate all heavy equipment, including on-snow haul cat in extreme winter conditions

• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, summer heat and winter cold

• Ability to problem-solve in a highly effective manner and maintain positive relationships consistent with SSRC’s Service Excellence standards.

• Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Company’s Service Excellence standards

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay range: $18.50- $19.50 per hour

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able lift up to 50lbs from head to floor level and back up

• Ability to walk on uneven slick conditions in extreme weather conditions

• Must be able to walk stairs – no elevator is available for employee use

• Must be able to ski or ride to a level proficient enough to get yourself down the mountain

• Must have excellent hand and eye coordination in order to safely operate heavy equipment on designated mountain trails in extreme weather conditions as well as safely maneuver haulcat around buildings and mountain warehouse receiving docks

• Must meet SSRC minimum driving standards and have current Driver’s license; a successful motor vehicle record background check is required

• Must be a minimum of 18 years old

• Communicate clearly in English, both verbal / non-verbal, and written
