About This Role

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to join our team. This dynamic educator will create engaging learning experiences, guiding young children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth while fostering a collaborative classroom environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Development: Develop and implement educational curriculum that aligns with early learning standards and promotes child development.
• Team Collaboration: Lead by example, promoting teaching team success through modeling best practices, coaching, and mentoring staff to achieve shared goals.
• Instructional Planning: Plan and execute individual and group activities that actively engage children, supporting their social, cognitive, and emotional development.
• Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences to support student growth.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all center policies and state regulations are consistently met, maintaining a healthy, safe, and secure classroom environment.
• Staff Supervision: Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure adherence to planned activities, hygiene, and safety protocols.
• Record Management: Maintain accurate documentation, forms, and student records in compliance with center and state requirements.
• Professional Growth: Pursue ongoing professional development through a personal development plan to continually enhance teaching quality and classroom outcomes.

Pre-K Lead Teacher Requirements

• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching preschool-aged children (3–5 years).
• Ability to participate in physical activities, lift and assist children, and handle classroom materials.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Strong classroom management and leadership skills; experience mentoring teaching staff a plus.
• Knowledge of child development and ability to create age-appropriate curriculum.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and parent communication
• High school diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.

• Bilingual or multilingual abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team
• Experience with play-based or project-based learning approaches
• Familiarity with educational technology for young learners
• Strong classroom management and positive behavior guidance skills
• Creativity, flexibility, and high energy to engage children
• Knowledge of early literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development
• Ability to integrate arts, music, and movement into daily lessons
• Excellent communication skills with both children and parents
