HR Coordinator

Chicago Tube & Iron is looking for an organized, people-focused HR Coordinator to join our Corporate Human Resources team in Romeoville.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their HR career who wants exposure to much more than one area of Human Resources. From recruiting and onboarding to benefits, employee engagement, communications and HR projects, you'll have the opportunity to work across the employee experience while supporting a busy Corporate office and leadership team.

What You'll Do:

Recruiting & Onboarding

• Post job openings across ADP, job boards and recruiting platforms.
• Support campus recruiting and other talent acquisition initiatives.
• Coordinate background checks and pre-employment clinic appointments.
• Prepare and process new hire onboarding documentation.
• Maintain recruiting and personnel requisition files.
• Audit onboarding paperwork and follow up with managers on onboarding plans and 30/60/90-day reviews.

Employee Experience & HR Support

• Conduct employee pulse check-ins.
• Assist with open enrollment, wellness programs and other benefit initiatives.
• Maintain employee records and assist with HR reporting and audits.
• Support HR programs, projects and employee engagement initiatives.
• Prepare and distribute Company communications and maintain communication screens across CTI locations.

Corporate & Executive Office Support

• Provide general administrative support to members of the executive team.
• Assist with planning leadership meetings, customer meetings and Company events.
• Coordinate Company sporting event tickets and other employee initiatives.
• Assist with Company webstore merchandise and inventory.
• Maintain office and kitchen supplies.
• Reconcile assigned corporate credit card transactions and supporting documentation.
• Pitch in wherever needed to keep the Corporate office running smoothly.

What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of Human Resources or related administrative experience.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Professional judgment and the ability to handle confidential information.
• Comfortable interacting with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
• Someone who can work independently, take initiative and isn't afraid to jump in and help.
