Partnership Taxation Senior Manager

Location: Phoenix, AZ 85016 Work Model: Hybrid (Minimum 3 days in office effective March 2026) Position Type: Full-Time The Partnership Taxation Senior Manager will lead complex partnership tax compliance and consulting engagements, including primary and secondary review of tax returns and providing strategic tax advice. This role requires strong leadership, client relationship management, and business development capabilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality service and driving growth within the partnership tax practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple partnership tax engagements from planning through completion
• Review complex partnership tax returns and provide consulting expertise
• Evaluate partnership agreements and manage IRC 704(b) capital accounts
• Provide strategic tax planning and identify tax-saving opportunities
• Oversee and mentor staff, including performance evaluations and development
• Drive business development efforts, including client acquisition and proposal development
• Maintain and expand client relationships across existing and new clients
• Research and consult on Subchapter K (partnership taxation) matters
• Respond to IRS and tax authority inquiries
• Manage engagement budgets and ensure timely delivery
• Utilize tax software for compliance and research activities

Must-Have Requirements

• Active CPA license (required)
• 10+ years of progressive tax compliance and consulting experience
• Strong experience in partnership taxation
• Background in public accounting
• Proven leadership and team management experience
• Willingness to work hybrid (minimum 3 days onsite)
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
