TPZP is seekingaField Engineerfor the project office inFresno, CAAbout California High Speed Rail- CP1Extraordinary Projects, Exceptional PerformanceThe California High-Speed Rail Authority’s Construction Package 1 (CP1) is the first significant construction contract executed on the Initial Operating Section of the High-Speed Rail project in California’s Central Valley.The CP1 construction area is a 32-mile stretch between Avenue 19 in Madera County to East American Avenue in Fresno County, including major work elements in downtown Fresno. It includes 12 roadway / railroad grade separations, two mainline viaducts, one tunnel, realignments of existing railroad tracks, utility relocations, roadway relocations, two trench sections, and a major river crossing over the San Joaquin River.Extraordinary Projects need Exceptional TalentDescriptionAs aField Engineerat TPZP JV, reporting tothe Project Manager,you will have the opportunity to:Review project plans and develops a constructionschedule in coordination with project-wideactivities.Coordinate with subcontractorsonadvanced material acquisitionsandpre-construction deliverablesDevelops/assist with obtaining quotes and draft contracts to meet project requirements.Prepare constructionworkplan packages and coordinates pre-constructionmeetings while ensuring that all prerequisites to start construction activities are identified and completed.Prepare,updates and distributesworkactivity schedules/updates, and communicates across discipline groups and agencies to ensure proper advance notifications and coordination of start times.Monitorand participatesdailyin field construction process. Provides layout checks and technical reviews of work against requirements. Obtains confirmations from design engineer as neededAssist with subcontractadministrationand permanentmaterialsuppliers throughmonitoringofcorrespondence, submittals, RFI's, and performance records; Maintainsaccuratepayment records.Assistin preparing monthlyreportingfor progress payments, schedule updates, and problem/issuetrackingand resolution. Provides accurate and factual assessments of projectperformance.Participate in change orders and claims managementDevelop and manages relationshipswithowners, subcontractors, consultantsandfield personnelMaintainsasafe,clean and productive environment throughenforcingprocedures.Maintains project integrityandreputation through compliance with high standards of workplace safety and construction best practicesIdentifyandresolves changing site conditionsor other impacts duringplanningof the workCoordinate and attends pre-bidand construction meetingsDevelop quality checks and coordinatepermitsfromappropriate entitiesAssist in preparingcrossing applications and work plans, assuring quality control, etc. by subcontractorManage and submits projectclose-outincoordinationwith the client and third partiesRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar from an accredited institution5 or more years of construction experience on Heavy Civil projectsKnowledge of constructionsafety and currentfederal& OSHA Requirements.Project controlstechniques(i.e. cost accounting, basic estimating, forecasting, and contracts)A strong workingknowledgeof critical path method,resourceschedulingis preferred.Working knowledgeand experience with MicrosoftOfficeStrong organizationaland time management skills.Strong written and verbal communicationskills.Good attentionto detail, with the ability to recognizediscrepancies.Strongworkethic - Highly motivatedand willingtodo what it takes to get the job done right.The ability to work independentlyas well as part of a team.Working knowledgeand experience with Primavera P6 preferred.OUR MISSIONWe build critical infrastructure that creates a better world.OUR VISIONWe strive to be the preeminent full-service civil, building, and specialty contractor by delivering innovative, transformative projects through world-class execution.
