Health Care Administrative Support Patient Concierge—(Bilingual–English/Spanish) – Bronx, NY Position Summary We are currently hiring a bilingual Patient Concierge to join our El Nuevo San Juan Health Center. The Patient Concierge serves as a liaison between patients and the medical center, ensuring access to services. They help create a welcoming, patient‑centered experience, fostering an informative environment and providing an overall positive first and last impression for patients, their families, and visitors. They are trained in all aspects of patient services (lobby, info desk, cash, intake) and are responsible for covering shifts and posts as needed. This entry‑level position is ideal for patient advocates who want to build a career in health center administrative support. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma required. No previous experience required. Bilingual Spanish/English required. Excellent communication skills and ability to provide an exceptional experience to patients. Understanding of phone etiquette and standard office procedures. Ability to provide a warm and friendly environment. Passion and commitment to serving communities. Key Duties Greets patients/visitors in a warm, friendly, and professional manner. Answers patients’ inquiries regarding appointments, procedures, billing, referrals, and provides general information. Schedules appointments and coordinates with other departments to ensure timely service. Supports registration, sliding‑fee discount program, insurance verification, payment collection, and PCP changes. Escorts patients and/or arranges escort to department/location. Compensation Hourly wage: $18.00 per hour. Benefits Fully funded health insurance for the employee. 73.5% funded health insurance for the employee’s family. Work Environment, Location, and Schedule This role is based at El Nuevo San Juan in Bronx, NY. The schedule is 40 hours per week, Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm (Saturday shift 8:00 am–5:00 pm). The assignment is full time.
