- Unit: IMCU
- # beds: 38 beds
- Certs: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Ratios: 1 to 3-4
- EMR: Cerner
- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: CHF, COPD, Renal failure, Respiratory failure, Alcohol withdrawal, Post PCI,
- Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must have 2-3 years experience in specialty--open to first time travelers.
- Are RNs required to titrate drips? No
- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: DKA, Heparin gtt, Amiodarone gtt, Cardizem gtt, all set rates or protocol driven.
- Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: One Nurse Shift Manager who acts at Team Lead, 2 Resource/Break RNs who do not take assignments.
- Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: 2-3 Unit Aides
-Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips?
- What brand are the tele monitors?: Client Apex Telemetry boxes- Central Telemetry Monitoring with 2 Monitor Techs. Nurses must be able to read and interpret, Nurses require passing dysrhythmia exam.
- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 12 hrs, 6:45-7:15, schedules made out about 3 weeks in advance, self-scheduling by seniority, shift trades available, no block scheduling.
- Weekend Requirements: 4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule, Days - Sat/Sun, Nights - Fri/Sat
- Holiday Requirements: Work into perm staff rotation

- Floating Requirements: Float to 4West or Med/Surg Departments
- Scrub Color/Dress code: Navy
