Job Title: Sales Support AssociateWork Location: DPL Headquarters, Louisville, Ky, OnsiteEmployment Type: Full TimeReports to: VP, Head of Advisor Engagement Job Purpose: Sales Support Associate (SSA) is an entry level sales position that involves a clear career development path to a grow within DPL for driven and motivated employees. As a SSA, you will be mentored by experienced Sales Managers that will equip you with the resources and tools to successfully engage new and existing prospects, schedule appointments with customers and partner with sales consultants. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Ability to clearly articulate DPL products and services to prospects and clients via phone calls and emails.Contact new and existing prospects from established leads databaseSet appointments and participate in onboarding calls/meetings to inform business to business customers about DPL products and servicesMaintain and monitor membership opportunities within the Salesforce platformProvide support to your team by using our technology to find better solutions for clients.Collaborate with Sales Consultants and Operations support team to ensure completeness and accuracy of applicationsPartner with sales consultants to enhance territory management and product sales knowledgeLearn DPL's systems, sales model, and carrier productsIf you do not already have them, you will be required to obtain state life and health licenses, SIE, and Series 6 and 63 licensing.Qualifications:Possess an excellent work ethic and a strong desire to learn and succeedClear and persuasive communication in both positive and negative situationsComfortable on the phone for periods of time communicating with prospects. Be an active listener who seeks clarification if necessaryBe a team player who can also work independentlyThe ability to analyze complex and diverse informationA quick learner with the ability to apply product and market knowledge effectivelyThe ability to build rapport, establish trust, and ask questions to discover the client's business needsOrganize, prioritize, and plan work activities efficientlyA four-year college degree or equivalent work experiencePhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:While performing the duties of this Job, the employee will be required to sit or utilize standing desk while working on computer for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
