Sourcing Specialist

Airswift is looking for a Sourcing Specialist to support one of our clients in Charlotte, NC.


This opportunity offers involvement in complex sourcing and procurement activity for high-value equipment and services within a technically advanced environment. The role focuses on sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, contract awards, and post-award supplier management, with exposure to cross-functional stakeholder engagement and procurement operations. This company operates in a broad technology-driven landscape spanning data warehousing, enterprise data storage, business intelligence, cloud infrastructure, and related IT environments.


Required Experience:


• 10 years of relevant experience is required for candidates with a degree.


• 14 years of relevant experience is required for candidates without a degree.


• Experience developing sourcing strategies for complex, high-value equipment or services.


• Experience analysing supplier responses, negotiating commercial terms, and awarding contracts and agreements.


• Experience managing post-award supplier activities, including settlements, claims, disputes, invoice mismatches, and price changes.


• Experience working with cross-functional teams and engaging with supplier and manufacturer management.


Required Skills:


• Strong sourcing, procurement, and supplier management capability.


• Ability to develop requests for quotations and requests for proposals.


• Strong negotiation skills, including engagement with middle and senior supplier management.


• Ability to maintain effective interfaces with internal and external customers and suppliers.


• Knowledge of commodities, sources of supply, diversity opportunities, and market conditions that may affect procurement strategy.


Preferred Qualifications:


• Bachelor degree preferred.
