JOB SUMMARY

The Intake Coordinator for the College and Career Education Opportunities Program (CCEOP) supports students and community members in exploring career pathways and gaining practical work experience. Working under general supervision, this position manages the full intake, eligibility, and placement process for program participants. Responsibilities include reviewing applications, verifying eligibility in accordance with program guidelines, coordinating interviews and onboarding with Human Resources, and ensuring completion of all required documentation, background checks, and testing. The Intake Coordinator connects participants with internship, externship, and job placement opportunities within Tribal departments and local businesses throughout King County. The position maintains detailed records of participant progress, coordinates transportation and scheduling, and communicates with schools and departments to ensure alignment with academic calendars and program standards. This role also supports the development of job-readiness skills such as communication, interviewing, and workplace professionalism, while fostering positive relationships between participants, supervisors, and mentors. Additional duties include scheduling workshops, tracking data, and reporting program outcomes to leadership. The Intake Coordinator contributes to the overall success and compliance of the CCEOP program by ensuring accurate documentation, consistent communication, and smooth participant transitions into education, training, and long-term employment.   

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Review participant applications and verify eligibility based on CCEOP Guidelines
2. Coordinate and match participants with suitable placement sites in Tribal departments or local businesses.
3. Help Coordinate transportation routes and schedules for youth workers, ensuring alignment with multiple school districts.
4. Assist participants in developing resumes, preparing for interviews and understanding basic workplace expectations.
5. Conduct site visits and check-ins to support participants and ensure that placements are progressing successfully.
6. Maintain accurate data in systems such as Google Sheets, Textedly, and other internal systems.
7. Maintain positive communication with placement supervisors to gather feedback and help address participant needs.
8. Organize and assist in delivering workshops on job-readiness topics such as teamwork, time management and communication.
9. Monitor attendance, work performance and progress of each participant and document outcomes.
10. Assist participants in setting achievable work and education goals that align with CCEO program objectives.
11. Collect and maintain records, reports and participant placement data using established systems.
12. Coordinate transportation or scheduling details for participants when needed.
13. Support career exploration activities such as job fairs, guest speakers and educational field trips.
14. Participate in meetings with the CCEO team to discuss placement updates and improvement ideas.
15. Follow program guidelines to ensure participant safety and adherence to established standards.
16. Prepare basic reports and summaries for program leadership as requested.
17. Perform general office duties related to scheduling, communication and record keeping.
18. This person will work very closely with the Youth Development Coordinator
19. Because of the Tribe's commitment to community service and the well-being of its members, each employee may be expected to perform a wide range of office and field duties from time to time. Such duties may or may not be related to their regular responsibilities.

EDUCATION - EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING FOR POSITION

Required:

• Graduation from a four -year college or vocational program with coursework in education, social services, or workforce development.
• Three (3) years of experience in career services, employment counseling, training coordination or a closely related area.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires both office and field work. The coordinator will spend time sitting at a computer to complete reports, schedule placements and communicate with participants and supervisors. Field visits to placement sites may require standing, walking and interacting with staff and community members in various settings. Occasional lifting or carrying of materials up to 25 pounds may be needed when transporting equipment or documents. The role involves regular driving within the community and surrounding areas. The noise level varies from quiet in office settings to moderate in field locations. Clear hearing, close vision and manual dexterity are important for communication and administrative tasks.

The Tribe’s name is derived from the native name for the prairie on which the Muckleshoot Reservation was established. Following the Reservation’s establishment in 1857, the Tribe and its members came to be known as Muckleshoot, rather than by the historic tribal names of their Duwamish and Upper Puyallup ancestors. Today, the United States recognizes the Muckleshoot Tribe as a tribal successor to the Duwamish and Upper Puyallup bands from which the Tribe’s membership descends.
