RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Provide direct nursing care for patients of all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Work on a 24-bed Med Surg Tele unit with daily census of 17 patients
• Maintain patient ratios of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Self-scheduling system with weekend coverage required
• Call required depending on census
• 36-hour orientation period with e-learning modules (1-5 hours average)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS (must be AHA certified)
• California RN license required at time of submission
• Manage care of assigned patients and direct activities of ancillary staff
• Assess patients' physiological and psychological needs comprehensively
• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans using nursing process
• Demonstrate charge nurse functions and leadership skills
• Care for patients with diagnoses including CHF, COPD, diabetes, CVA, pneumonia, sepsis, and post-surgical conditions
• Skills include telemetry monitoring, central line care, chest tube management, wound care, PCA management, and tracheostomy care
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• 7-year work history verification required
• Only one holiday time-off request will be approved
