RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Provide direct nursing care for patients of all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics

• Work with 5:1 patient ratio during days, nights, and weekends

• Manage care of assigned patients on a 24-bed Med Surg Telemetry unit with daily census of 17

• Direct activities of ancillary staff and perform charge nurse functions

• Complete 36 hours of orientation with modules averaging 1-5 hours

• Self-scheduling with weekend coverage required

• Call may be required depending on census

• One pre-approved holiday time off allowed

• Required certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS (all must be AHA certified)

• California RN license required

• 2 years of nursing experience required

• Epic charting system experience preferred

• Community hospital experience preferred

• Must be comfortable with various skills including telemetry monitoring, IV management, wound care, blood product administration, central line care, and tracheostomy management

• Care for patients with diagnoses including CHF, COPD, diabetes, CVA, pneumonia, sepsis, and post-surgical cases

• Access to interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing

• 7-year work history verification required
