: Position Number 38493 Company WA River Protection Solutions City/State Richland, WA Location 200E Posted 11/15/2025 Closes 11/18/2025 Regular/Temporary Regular Full/Part-Time Full-Time Job Responsibilities/Duties Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS) seeks a Work Control Planner who will be responsible for developing work packages using WRPS Work Control Processes and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) for corrective/preventive maintenance, modification, fabrication, select operational activities, expense-based project construction of tank farm structures/systems and components. Applies knowledge of Work Control Planner principles and practices in assignments and related work.

• Under general supervision, the individual will analyze planning processes for efficiency and makes recommendations to management. Preparation and/or verifies accuracy of work orders and work activity schedules.
• Preparation and/or verifies accuracy of work orders and work activity schedules.
• Conducts planning meetings and provides planning status to project schedules.
• Provides technical recommendations to management when possible.
• Prepares, tracks, and controls work orders, required to accomplish assigned activities.
• Provides miscellaneous planning as required by management.
• May provide analysis of planning areas of concern and provides recommendations to management for resolution.
• Reviews and analyzes work documents for proper classification, priority, and description.
• Prepares work documents in accordance with work control processes.
• With input from field work supervision, estimates and establishes man hours, material, and manpower, needed for job completion.
• Supports material requisitions.
• Develop work orders for low or medium risk or complexity jobs.
• Assists in the development of complex work orders.
• Provides guidance to entry-level incumbents.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications Grade 16:

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) and 5 years of practical work experience in maintenance or related area, or an equivalent combination of education (e.g. trade school degree) and directly related experience.
• Knowledge of operational, maintenance work activities, and preventative maintenance planning is required.

Grade 17:

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) and 6-7 years of practical work experience in maintenance or related area, or an equivalent combination of education (e.g. trade school degree) and directly related experience.
• Knowledge of operational, maintenance work activities, and preventative maintenance planning is required.

Desired Qualifications - Minimum of three (3)+ years' experience developing high-risk, corrective maintenance and troubleshooting work packages.

• Current/previous WRPS Work Planner Qualification or Other Hanford Prime Contractor Planning Qualification highly desirable.
• Knowledge of operational, maintenance and work planning at tank farms or Category 2 Nuclear Facilities.
