Weekday Preschool Director

We are searching for a director to promote the vision and leadership of Master’s Garden Preschool. As the Director, will be responsible for the daily operations and administration of the preschool. The position will provide the opportunity to use experience in childhood development and leadership management to help staff serve within a culture that glorifies God. Through an active, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and knowing prayer is a key to effectiveness in this role, the Director will also help staff, students, and families grow in their walk with Christ. Additionally, the Director will have the opportunity to identify, cultivate, develop, and minister to staff and teachers to carry out the mission and vision of MGP in our community. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
●      Profession of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and desire to live under His Lordship through active membership in a local body of believers doctrinally consistent with EBC
●      Clear calling and passion to serve preschool age children and their families, grounded in a love for Jesus Christ
●      Excellent leadership and communication skills to drive engagement, motivation, and development of staff, preschoolers, families, and the EBC congregation
●      Excellent communication skills for interpersonal and electronic communication
●      Knowledge, understanding, and ability to adhere to all state and local requirements and regulations (e.g. licensing, health, safety, fire, sanitation, etc.)
●      Exhibit spiritual leadership and high regard for integrity and confidentiality
●      Ability to manage conflict resolution with a Christ-like attitude
●      Willingness to work within the organizational guidelines of Ebenezer Baptist Churc EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
●      Bachelor’s Degree in Childhood Education or related area preferred
●      Childhood Education Administration certification (or will begin obtaining within 6 months)
●      Managerial and administrative experience with business operations, management, planning, finance & budgeting and project management
●      Experience and knowledge of Christian education, curriculum planning and programming
●      Demonstrated experience in childhood education with diverse teams, staff, and volunteers with the desire to see others grow (at least 3-5 years of experience preferred)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
●      Demonstrate and utilize prayer as the key component to this ministry
●      Adhere to organizational guidelines and ministry functions of EBC.
●      Provide overall daily management of MGP in compliance with all state and local laws & regulations
●      Responsible for management, oversight and reporting on operational, personnel & staffing, financial, budget, curriculum, program, property & facility, marketing, communications, projects, planning and administrative functions across the preschool
●      Communicate to the MGP Board of Directors concerning all aspects of the ministry at MGP, including fiscal health, staff development, campus usage, strategic vision, and other areas of the organization
●      Must be able to effectively serve in cooperation with the EBC pastoral leadership, EBC ministry teams, and MGP Board of Directors
●      Hire, lead, and train qualified staff to share the love of God through exciting Christian preschool curriculum of discovery and exploration with preschoolers and their families
●      Oversee and support teachers in the planning and development of faith based, age-appropriate curriculum that supports spiritual and educational excellence, including prayer and God’s Word
●      Lead and direct a cohesive spiritual-driven team of talented enthusiastic staff who are unified in the MGP and EBC mission and vision
●      Supervise and manage personnel assignments and activities, including scheduling, placement, classroom visits, staff meetings, professional and spiritual development and annual performance reviews
●      Oversee the maintenance, management, compliance and appearance of campus facilities, classrooms, offices, and grounds in compliance with all state, local and regulatory guidelines, working with agency representatives as an ambassador for MGP/EBC
●      Maintain a clean, compliant, and safe environment, including conducting all safety drills in accordance with state and local guidelines
●      Develop and implement effective advertising/media to promote MGP
●      Serve as the primary communicator of MGP health, mission, culture, and vision to the MGP staff, families, and community in alignment with EBC organizational guidelines
●      Receive and welcome prayer support from EBC Pastoral Staff, EBC Ministry Teams, and volunteers as well as encouragement in spiritual and professional growth
●      Connect with the EBC church body in order to bridge the relationship between the ministry at MGP and the EBC membership. If a member of EBC, active as a member in other areas of the church, including, but not limited to, attendance

RECOMMENDED EXPERIENCE IN:
●      State and Local licensing, regulatory requirements, educational building codes and facility regulations
●      Writing grants and proposals
●      Financial planning, program forecasting, and budget preparation/management
●      Project and program management
●      Event planning and logistics
●      Service and contractual vendor negotiations and agreements
●      E-communications, social media, and advertising
