CNA I (Formerly GNA) - LTC/Memory Care - Day Shift

Join the dedicated team at Levindale Hospital's Hall 1 Rehab/Subacute Care unit, where compassionate caregivers help patients recover, regain independence, and transition successfully through their rehabilitation journey. Hall 1 is a fast-paced subacute rehab environment caring for patients with a variety of medical conditions including post-surgical recovery, orthopedic rehabilitation, cardiac conditions, wound care, IV therapy, and other skilled nursing needs.

Hall 1 promotes a collaborative, patient-centered environment focused on safety, dignity, comfort, and high-quality care. Team members must be compassionate, motivated, dependable, and committed to providing exceptional support to patients and families.

Summary:

JOB SUMMARY

Provides safe, patient care while assisting patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive environment under the direction of the nursing team.

Responsibilities Include

• Assisting patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility
• Supporting rehabilitation goals through safe patient transfers and ambulation assistance
• Monitoring and reporting changes in patient condition to nursing staff
• Maintaining patient safety, comfort, and dignity at all times
• Assisting with vital signs and routine patient care tasks
• Maintaining a clean and organized patient care environment
• Collaborating with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support quality patient outcomes

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• Active Maryland CNA-I license required (previously MD GNA)
• American Heart Association (AHA) CPR Certification required
• Less than one year of experience required
• Basic computer and communication skills required
• Experience with Hoyer lifts, specialty beds, and basic medical equipment preferred
• Ability to follow verbal instructions and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Pay Range: $20.00 to $20.00
