Production ManagerThe Production Floor Manager is responsible for managing the full production process-from raw ingredients to finished packaged products. This role ensures all operations run smoothly, efficiently, and safely, while maintaining product quality and compliance with food safety standards. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader who thrives under pressure, communicates clearly, and creates a positive, team-oriented environment on the production floor.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee the entire daily production schedule and workflowEnsure all products are produced on time, meet quality standards, and are cost-effectiveCollaborate with departments including Maintenance, Warehouse, and Operations to meet production goalsProvide training and guidance to new employees and team members transitioning into new rolesCommunicate policies and procedures clearly and consistently to all production staffMonitor and verify that production logs, HACCP documentation, and other required records are completed accuratelyPromote a culture of workplace safety by enforcing safety procedures and reporting any incidents promptlyIdentify opportunities for process improvement and recommend changes to increase efficiency and throughputQualificationsRequired2+ years of experience in food manufacturing, high-volume food production, or commercial kitchen operationsStrong leadership and communication skillsHighly organized and capable of managing time, people, and priorities effectivelySelf-motivated, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervisionStrong reading, writing, and math skillsComfortable learning or operating production equipmentCommitment to quality, safety, and cleanliness standardsPreferredPrevious experience with HACCP, GMPs, and food safety programsBilingual (English/Spanish) is a plusPhysical RequirementsAble to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequentlyStand and walk for extended periods; regular bending and stoopingComfortable working near moving machinery and in a fast-paced environmentCapable of performing repetitive hand and wrist motionsWork EnvironmentThis role is based on the production floor in a commercial food facility. The environment may involve variable temperatures (hot, cold, humid) and requires a high level of focus, safety awareness, and teamwork.
