About the Role

The Company is seeking a Senior Counsel to join their team as an Associate Vice President. The successful candidate will be a key legal advisor, providing guidance and support for the company's various real estate activities, including acquisitions, dispositions, redevelopment, development, and leasing. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all legal aspects of the transaction lifecycle are handled with expertise and in compliance with the law. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial real estate law, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to manage complex transactions in a fast-paced environment. Applicants for the Senior Counsel position at the company should have a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and be an active member of the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, with a preference for Ohio. A minimum of 5 years' legal experience in commercial real estate transactions is required, with a mix of law firm and in-house experience being preferred. The role demands a candidate with a strong knowledge of real estate law, excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously. Strong business acumen and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams are also essential for this position.
