Patient Care CoordinatorBluePearl Pet Hospital in Northfield, IL is seeking an experienced Patient Care Coordinator to join our state-of-the-art emergency and specialty hospital.Pay $23.13- $41.00/hour*This pay band is dependent on local veterinary licensing, experience, and advancement through our competency assessment tool.Competitive Shift Differentials: Earn more with our shift differentials!As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will act as a liaison between the front and back of the hospital by facilitating client/patient flow between the waiting room, exam rooms, CSR staff, and clinical staff, triaging medical phone calls, coordinating client/doctor communication, and performing ER visit follow-up calls for both locations. Evening, weekend, and holiday work across both locations may be required as part of the normal workweek.As the Patient Care Coordinator, you will:Monitor the waiting/exam room clients; assist with refreshments/marketing materials; update clients on wait time/patient statusMaintain open communication with the doctor and technical staff to minimize wait times and maximize patient flow regarding long wait timesCoordinate patient flow between multiple specialtiesManage Cornerstone hospital censusFacilitate discharge appointments for all servicesPerform patient discharges in coordination with the technical teamManage patient discharge/visit board and exam rooms; ensure comfortable and timely visits & dischargesCheck ER doctor message bin and triage messages for doctors; facilitate solutions for clientsReceive and address patient care telephone calls from the general publicCall previous day's ER clients for follow-up feedback for both locationsWhy BluePearl?Our passion is pets.
