Animal Dispatch, LLC is a licensed and insured wildlife removal and exclusion company. We handle raccoons, bats, squirrels, groundhogs, snakes, skunks, and opossums for homeowners and businesses across south central Virginia.

We are opening our Danville office and we need a person to run it.

WHAT THIS JOB ACTUALLY IS

You are the first voice a customer hears. Somebody calls because there is something living in their attic and they do not know what to do about it. Your job is to calm them down, get the right information out of them, and put the job on the schedule.

From there you own the paperwork side of the business. The invoice, the payment, the books, the follow up on what has not been paid yet.

Everything downstream depends on you. Our technicians can only work the jobs you book, and we only get paid on the invoices you send. This is not a filing job. It is the front end and the back end of the whole operation.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Answer incoming calls, texts, and website leads and turn them into booked jobs

- Build and manage the daily and weekly schedule for the field crew

- Run QuickBooks day to day. Invoicing, receiving payments, categorizing transactions, reconciling accounts, running reports, keeping the books clean and current

- Follow up on outstanding quotes and unpaid invoices

- Keep customer records, job notes, and photos organized in our field software

- Order and track office and field supplies

- Handle mail, filing, and general office upkeep

- Take on additional office and administrative work assigned by the owner. This is a small company and the job will grow

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

- Hands on QuickBooks experience. This is a requirement, not a nice to have. You will be in it every day and there is nobody standing behind you to fix it

- Two years or more in an office, front desk, dispatch, bookkeeping, or customer service role

- Comfortable on the phone with people who are stressed out. Some of these calls come in at a bad moment for the customer. You need to be steady

- Good with a computer. You do not need to know our specific field software, but you need to be the kind of person who can learn a new program without being walked through it twice

- Accurate. Addresses, phone numbers, and dollar amounts have to be right the first time

- Organized enough to keep several things moving at once without dropping any of them

- Dependable. Show up, on time, every day. We are small enough that one person missing is felt immediately

- Valid driver's license and your own reliable vehicle. You need to get yourself to the Danville office every day, and there will be times we need you to run out for supplies or make a trip to our Gretna location

- Background check

HELPFUL BUT NOT REQUIRED

- Experience in a home services or trades office. HVAC, plumbing, pest control, roofing, electrical, or anything with a dispatch board

- Payroll experience

- Experience with any field service scheduling software

WHAT WE OFFER

- $19.00 to $24.00 per hour, based on what you actually bring

- Full time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. No nights. No Sundays

- Room to grow. We are expanding and adding crews. The person who runs this office well is going to end up running more than this office
