Staffmark is partnering with a leading manufacturing company in Kodak, TN to hire an experienced CNC Machinist for their Tool & Die Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled machinist who enjoys working independently, programming and setting up equipment, and producing precision parts to tight tolerances.

Position Summary

The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machinery to manufacture precision components from blueprints, sketches, and specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong Tool & Die experience, advanced machining skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform complete machine setup, programming, and operation of CNC Mills and CNC Lathes.
• Machine precision parts from blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions while maintaining close tolerances.
• Program CNC equipment manually and through CAD/CAM software.
• Troubleshoot machining processes and make adjustments as needed to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with management to improve setup times and machining productivity.
• Complete production tracking and documentation using JOBBOSS and other required systems.
• Maintain safety and quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
• Train and mentor CNC Machinist Trainees and assist with on-the-job training of team members.
• Operate forklifts as needed to support production activities.

Qualifications

✅ Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience

✅ Minimum 5 years of experience in a Tool & Die machine shop environment

✅ Experience programming CNC equipment manually and with CAD/CAM software

✅ Ability to perform complete machine setups independently

✅ CNC Certification from an accredited technical school

✅ High School Diploma or GED

✅ Forklift experience required

✅ Experience with HAAS workstations highly preferred
