Job Purpose:- The Pastry AM position at Eatzi's manages the daily baking of the pastry products served in the market. This role is essential to ensuring that our customers receive high-quality, freshly baked pastries each day. The Pastry AM is responsible for overseeing the production schedule, managing oven temperatures, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards. This position plays a crucial role in the culinary team, contributing to the overall success and reputation of Eatzi's.Key Responsibilities:- Review and follow the production schedule for pastries to ensure timely preparation and delivery of products.- Manage oven temperatures, adjusting based on different products to achieve optimal baking results.- Maintain safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health regulations.- Perform basic preventive maintenance on kitchen equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and a cohesive work environment.- Demonstrate the ability to lift up to 40lbs without assistance, ensuring physical capability to handle kitchen tasks.- Understand the operation of a commercial oven and the ability to work around hot temperatures and surfaces safely.Required Education:- High school diploma or equivalentPreferred Education:- High school diploma or equivalentRequired Experience:- 1 year of experience in a pastry production kitchenPreferred Experience:- 2+ years of experience in a pastry production kitchenRequired Skills and Abilities:- Ability to follow a production schedule for baking various products with precision and consistency- Understanding of the operation of a commercial oven, including the ability to manage and adjust oven temperatures based on different pastry products- Competency in maintaining safety and sanitation standards in a kitchen environment- Proficiency in performing basic preventive maintenance on kitchen equipment- Ability to lift up to 40lbs without assistance, ensuring the capability to handle ingredients and equipment safely- Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve daily production goalsEatzi's offers Excellent Benefits to all Full-Time Associates!
