Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Processing Specialist to support payroll operations in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have experience processing payroll, resolving payroll-related inquiries, ensuring payroll accuracy, and meeting strict payroll deadlines while providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and on time while reviewing employee time records and payroll data.
- Respond to payroll, tax, benefits, and timekeeping inquiries from clients or employees.
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, tax issues, and payroll processing errors.
- Maintain employee payroll records and update payroll system configurations as needed.
- Assist with payroll adjustments, direct deposits, deductions, PTO, benefits, and tax updates.
- Support quarter-end and year-end payroll activities, including corrections and reporting.
- Prepare payroll reports, analyze payroll data, and troubleshoot processing issues.
- Collaborate with internal departments and third-party partners to resolve payroll-related concerns.
- Document client interactions and communicate updates professionally.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of payroll processing or payroll support experience .
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and payroll best practices.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency with payroll systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of payroll tax regulations and wage & hour laws.
- Experience supporting payroll-related products or services.
- Experience handling payroll reporting, reconciliations, and payroll corrections.
Additional Information
- Hybrid work schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).
- Overtime may be required during peak payroll periods.
