This role is responsible for planning and leading age-appropriate lessons and activities that promote social, emotional, spiritual, and cognitive development for young children. Daily tasks include creating a safe, nurturing classroom environment; supervising children during instruction, play, and transitions; and managing classroom routines such as check-in, dismissal, and basic record keeping. The Early Childhood Teacher will collaborate with church staff and volunteers, communicate regularly with parents and caregivers, and ensure that all activities align with Bethel’s mission and child safety guidelines. This role may also include preparing teaching materials, participating in training and team meetings, and assisting with special church events involving children.\nQualifications\n\n Demonstrated skills in early childhood education, including classroom management, lesson planning, and child development understanding.\n Ability to create engaging, age-appropriate learning activities that support social, emotional, and spiritual growth.\n Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and staff in a diverse community.\n Commitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment, with attention to child safety procedures and policies.\n Flexibility, reliability, and the ability to work part-time hours on-site in Brentwood, TN, including weekends as needed.\n Previous experience teaching or caring for young children in a classroom, daycare, church, or similar setting is preferred.\n High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is a plus.\n Alignment with the mission and values of Bethel World Outreach Church and willingness to support faith\n
