The Kitchen Supervisor will oversee a kitchen team of 6-10 staff in a casual dining setting, ensuring smooth daily operations through a combination of hands-on involvement and supervisory duties. This role balances staff management with active participation in food preparation, maintaining strict adherence to quality and safety standards while manually coordinating scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a kitchen team of 6-10 staff
- Manage inventory to ensure adequate stock and minimize waste
- Enforce food quality standards to maintain consistency
- Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations
- Create and maintain work schedules using a manual system
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in kitchen supervision
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of food safety standards
- Demonstrated team leadership skills
- Familiarity with health code compliance
