Who We're Looking For:

As a key member of the Purchasing team, the Senior Buyer will be responsible for executing purchasing activities and managing supplier performance to ensure uninterrupted supply of materials supporting Laborie's global manufacturing operations. This role serves as the primary day-to-day liaison between suppliers and cross-functional teams including Supply Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Operations.

This Senior Buyer is an experienced procurement professional and problem-solving leader within the Purchasing organization. This individual manages supplier communications, purchase order execution, delivery performance, shortage mitigation, and supply continuity activities for assigned suppliers and product families.

This position reports to the Senior Manager of Purchasing.

About the Role:

• Manage purchase order placement, maintenance, and execution for assigned suppliers and commodities
• Review, validate, and maintain supplier order confirmations to ensure alignment with purchase order requirements, delivery commitments, and production needs
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and proactively address potential shortages, delays, and supply disruptions
• Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned suppliers and maintain productive supplier relationships
• Lead Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) activities for assigned suppliers, including conducting supplier business reviews, facilitating regular cadence meetings, establishing performance expectations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Materials Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, or a related business function
• Minimum of 3 years of experience managing supplier relationships, purchasing activities, and material supply in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with inventory management, material planning concepts, and supply continuity activities

Preferred Qualifications:

• APICS CPIM, CSCP, CPSM, or related professional certification preferred
• Medical device, life sciences, or other regulated manufacturing experience preferred
• Experience working within an ISO 13485 environment preferred
