Location: Geisinger Wyoming Valley (GWV) Shift: Nights (United States of America) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36 Worker Type: Regular Exemption Status: No Job Summary Geisinger is proud to offer an Inpatient RN an incentive up to $23,500 for eligible candidates! $41.41 minimum hiring rate with increased rates for experienced individuals and up to $7 shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Job Duties Complete assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards. Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care. Formulate, coordinate, and provide a plan of care as established in unit standards, including patient and family education, family needs, and discharge planning throughout hospitalization with members of the interdisciplinary team. Provide direct patient care including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies according to policy and procedure. Evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and revise plan of care based upon patient response. Initiate collaboration with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other interdisciplinary team members and act to proactively resolve and facilitate patient needs. Problem solve, troubleshoot, and take corrective measures in the care and handling of equipment. Participate in unit-based decision‑making regarding the utilization of evidence‑based practice. Actively participate as a team member working toward unit and organization goals and be accountable for unit and system‑specific metrics. Participate in patient quality and safety education programs and other activities designed to improve departmental and organizational quality and safety. Job Description The Registered Nurse assesses plans, organizes, performs, and evaluates nursing activities to meet the needs of the patient.
