Medical Assistant Panama City, FLPay From: $18 per hourMUST:Completion of a Nurse Aide, Medical Assistant, or EMS training program, with a current Nurse Aide certification OR a Medical Assistant certification OR EMS LicensureOne year of prior experience working in a medical practiceOne year of prior experience working with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR)Knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office softwareExcellent written and oral communication skills, including exceptional customer serviceAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with doctors, clinical staff, other co-workers and the publicAbility to work a flexible scheduleStrong organization skillsActive CPR cardExperience administering injectionsDUTIES:Accurately completes applicable paperwork; ensuring patient medical records are completeVerifies patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit, and confirming patient IDTakes and records patient vitalsProperly maintains examination rooms and all other clinical areasAnswers telephones in a professional manner and delivers messages promptlyReturns patient calls in a timely mannerInstructs patients in simple procedures/tests and dispenses appropriate educational materialsRelays provider orders to the patientPrepares, cleans and maintains ultrasound machine, as appropriateDraws up injections to be administeredObtains prior authorizations for radiology and/or prescriptions, as neededKeeps rooms clean and stocked with suppliesProcesses specimens and prepares them for shippingPerforms other duties as assignedQuadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
