Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients; monitor fetal and maternal status and respond to deviations.
- Manage perinatal emergencies (e.g., crash cesarean sections, precipitous delivery, shoulder dystocia) and perform circulating duties for cesarean deliveries as needed.
- Support pain management during labor, assist with epidural catheter placement, and monitor patient status during and after administration.
- Educate patients and families on all stages of perinatal and postpartum care, tailoring instruction to age, condition, culture, and learning readiness.
- Document nursing care legibly and accurately in the electronic health record; collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement goal-directed care plans; participate in postpartum and newborn care as appropriate.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Experience: Minimum two years of recent Labor & Delivery experience; LDRP model experience required.
- Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications; Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course required; AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required.
- Additional: EPIC electronic health record experience required; ability to work in a high-acuity L&D unit; no on-call requirement; flexibility to work both day and night shifts during the transition period.
