Department Highlights: 12-Hour patrol shifts with every other weekend off. Highly competitive pay and benefits. The new contract is currently being negotiated. 7 Step Salary Range. Currently $78,552 - $112,858 (includes a 4% pensionable stipend). Initial placement up to Step 6, depending on qualifications. Full Illinois Police Pension Benefits Plus 457 Deferred Compensation Options. Opportunities for specialty assignments (SWAT, Investigations, Major Crimes Task Force, ILEAS, Accident Reconstruction Team, C.O.R.E. - Community Oriented Response and Enforcement Unit).
