Mid-Office Team Lead

Role Overview

As the Mid-Office Team Lead, you will provide technical leadership and day-to-day coordination for the team responsible for supporting and enhancing World Travel, Inc.'s mid-office technology solutions.

You will serve as the primary technical expert for the function, partnering closely with Operations, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, effective solutions. In addition to contributing hands-on technical expertise, you will guide solution design, help prioritize work, support team members, and ensure initiatives align with operational and business objectives.

Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, travel industry knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to influence outcomes through collaboration rather than formal authority.

Core Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead technical resource for mid-office systems, automation, quality-control programming, and related technologies.
• Design, develop, test, and implement enhancements that improve operational effectiveness, productivity, and service quality.
• Partner with Operations, Business Solutions, and Technology teams to understand requirements and develop technical solutions.
• Help prioritize work requests, enhancements, and initiatives based on business impact and operational needs.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to team members.
• Review proposed solutions to ensure quality, scalability, maintainability, and alignment with business requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and coordinate resolution efforts when technical expertise is required.
• Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and best practices.
• Communicate project status, risks, priorities, and recommendations to stakeholders.
