Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Industrial Maintenance TechnicianThe Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment and systems to ensure the safe and efficient operation of production processes. This role is crucial for meeting production targets while adhering to food safety and quality standards.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintenance: Perform maintenance, inspections, PM's and installs of production mechanical and electrical systemsTroubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment and systems using testing devices and technical schematics.Repairs: Execute repairs on mechanical and electrical production equipment and systemsInstallation: Install new mechanical and electrical equipment and systems as required, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.Upgrades: Assist in the upgrading of existing mechanical and electrical systems to improve efficiency and reliability.Safety Compliance: Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards, including food safety protocols.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections; using CMMS systemCollaboration: Work closely with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and ensure seamless operations.Emergency Response: Respond promptly to mechanical and electrical emergencies, providing quick resolutions to prevent production interruptions.Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment.Housekeeping: Perform routine housekeeping activities in the department and ensure adherence to established safety procedures and requirements.Other duties as requiredQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education and/or ExperienceEducation: High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in electrical technology preferred.Experience: Previous 3-5 years' experience as an industrial maintenance technician, preferably in a food processing or manufacturing environment.Skills: Strong mechanical, analytical and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Communication SkillsEffective oral and written communications are essential, as are interpersonal skills. The ability to work effectively in a team environment is required. Must have effective PC skills to include MS Office software such as Excel and Word. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and with frequent, established deadlines is required. Organizational and analytical skills are required.
