Tech - Cath Lab/EP

Job Summary:
The EP Nurse provides specialized nursing care within a high-volume electrophysiology lab, supporting complex cardiac procedures such as ablations, implants, and atrial appendage closures. They collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes through precise execution of clinical tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Perform pre-procedure assessments and prepare patients for electrophysiology studies and interventions.
• Assist physicians during ablations, device implantations, cardioversions, and other advanced cardiac procedures.
• Monitor patient status during procedures, manage equipment, and ensure procedural safety protocols are followed.
• Document all clinical activities accurately within the electronic medical record system.
• Provide post-procedure care, patient education, and monitoring for complication management.
• Maintain proficiency with EP lab equipment, including arrhythmia induction, device programming, and mapping technologies.

Qualifications:

• Possess an active RN license in good standing.
• Have at least 2 years of clinical experience in a cardiac or electrophysiology setting.
• Hold current certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT, RCIS, and RCES.
• Demonstrate EP lab experience with arrhythmia induction, cardioversion, pacemaker/ICD insertion, and tilt table studies.
• Exhibit proficiency with EPIC EMR software and pass the necessary EKG compliance exam.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment with floating capabilities.
