Forensic Recovery Analyst (Claims & Negotiation)

We help businesses recover money they overpaid to their suppliers. You build the case file, check the numbers, and then deal with both the client and the supplier who owes the money. Your job is to read the file, catch what is wrong, decide what is right, build the final number, and carry that number into a conversation and hold it. This is not a back-office seat and it is not a sales seat. It sits in between. You need to be precise enough to find a buried error and steady enough to defend the result to a hostile counterparty. What you will do • Read every document in a file: invoices, pricing letters, contracts, accounting exports, and email threads. Pull out the facts that matter and ignore the noise.

• Pressure-test the analysis. Find the error before it reaches a client or a supplier.
• Lock the assumptions a calculation depends on, and be ready to explain why each one is

right.

• Build the demand figure and show the math behind every dollar.
• Write up the file in plain English that a non-expert can read.
• Talk to clients. Explain the work, set expectations, and request the documents we still

need. • Talk to suppliers. Present the demand, answer pushback, hold the number, and escalate to the attorney when a legal judgment call is needed. • Keep a queue of files moving. File number ten gets the same scrutiny as file number one. What we are looking for • Three or more years in recovery, subrogation, claims, audit, forensic accounting, or collections with real analytical depth.

• Strong numeracy. You can audit a calculation and spot where it is wrong, not just run one.
• A skeptical habit. You do not accept a clean number, or one side’s version of events,

without checking the source document.

• Heavy attention to detail that does not fade over a long, repetitive queue.
• Plain-English writing. You can explain a hard idea simply and you do not dress up

uncertainty. • Comfort asking for money. You can hold a position while the other side argues, and you stay calmer rather than more agreeable under pressure. • Hands-on experience with AI tools and a real curiosity about them. You build your own AI projects, automate parts of your own work, or experiment with new tools on your own time, without being told to. Nice to have

• Reading financial statements: segment margins, risk-factor disclosures, entity structure.
• Reading commercial contracts: price clauses, governing law, termination terms.
• Any exposure to customs, tariffs, or trade. We will teach this. It is not a requirement, and

we would rather hire the right instincts and train the subject matter. What this job is not

• Not a sales role. We recover money that is owed. We do not pitch.
• Not a pure audit role. You will be in front of clients and counterparties, on the phone and in
