Woods Cross, UT (Onsite)

$22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire (120 Days)

Expected Start Date: September 7, 2026

⏰ Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts (flexible start time: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM or 9:00 AM-6:00 PM)

✅ No Weekends or Holidays

About the Opportunity

A growing healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to join its Revenue Cycle Management team. This position is ideal for someone with healthcare billing experience who can quickly step in and contribute with minimal training on billing fundamentals.

You'll be responsible for managing claims, resolving denials, supporting collections efforts, and helping ensure timely reimbursement from insurance carriers. This is a great opportunity to join a positive team environment with long-term career growth potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Submit and review insurance claims for accuracy and timely processing
• Research, resolve, and resubmit denied claims
• Work accounts receivable and unpaid insurance balances
• Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and determine next steps
• Investigate claim issues and make necessary corrections
• Submit appeals and supporting documentation as needed
• Monitor AR reports and collection activity
• Resolve billing edits and payer rejections
• Maintain accurate billing records within EMR and billing systems
• Partner with revenue cycle staff to improve billing processes and efficiency
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, carriers, and internal teams

Qualifications

• 2+ years of healthcare billing or revenue cycle experience
• Experience with accounts receivable, collections, and denial management
• Strong understanding of medical billing fundamentals
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience with EMR and billing systems preferred

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woods Cross, UT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
