We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our Reno, Nevada office. This role is ideal for an experienced legal professional capable of independently managing a high-volume caseload while providing comprehensive support to our trial attorneys.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the full litigation lifecycle—from initial case setup through discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation—ensuring seamless document management, precise deadline tracking, and meticulous client support.

Key Responsibilities

Caseload & Document Management

• Independently manage a diverse caseload from intake to trial or resolution, serving as a primary point of contact for case organization.
• Oversee full-lifecycle document management, including the receipt, review, organization, and index coding of incoming and outgoing case files.
• Draft, edit, and proofread litigation filings, formal legal correspondence, answers, and motions.
• Coordinate physical and electronic filings in local, state, and federal courts across Nevada (including CM/ECF and local district court portals).

Master Calendaring & Docketing

• Maintain strict control over firm calendars, calculating and tracking all court deadlines, appearance dates, discovery cutoffs, and pleading schedules.
• Coordinate attorney court appearances, client meetings, witness interviews, and depositions.

Discovery & Pleading Production

• Draft, review, and compile discovery requests and responses, including Interrogatories, Requests for Production, and Requests for Admission.
• Subpoena, track, and organize medical, billing, financial, and third-party records.
• Assist in drafting pleadings, affidavits, subpoenas, and motions in limine .

Deposition & Trial Preparation

• Assemble detailed deposition exhibits, compile outline materials, and summarize deposition transcripts.
• Prepare comprehensive trial notebooks, exhibit lists, witness lists, and courtroom presentation materials.
• Provide direct support to attorneys during depositions, hearings, and trials.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of dedicated civil litigation experience handling active caseloads.
• Education & Credentials:
• • Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree in Legal Studies (or equivalent experience) required.
  • ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate strongly preferred.
• Technical Skills:
• • Proficiency with Nevada state and federal court electronic filing systems (CM/ECF, Odyssey, etc.).
  • Strong working knowledge of case management and docketing software (e.g., Clio, ProLaw, PracticePanther, or similar).
  • Advanced skill in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Core Skills:
• • Solid understanding of the Nevada Rules of Civil Procedure (NRCP) and local court rules for Washoe County and surrounding jurisdictions.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proven track record of handling competing priorities.
