Surgical Services Clinic Department Manager Job Category : Department Manager Requisition Number : SURGI005154 Posted: April 17, 2026 Full-Time Locations Showing 1 location CLI Greenwood, 30 N Emerson Ave, Greenwood, IN 46143, USA Starting wage of $22+ per hour, based on previous experience 6.5 paid holidays per year Approximately 10 days of PTO within first year Full slate of benefits to include health, dental, vision, and 401k Growth and wage increase through company paid certification program ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and guide staff to ensure consistency in performance and improve efficiencies within the Clinic. Coordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow throughout the office, ensuring timely patient services. Evaluate staff performance and provide additional training as necessary Assist staff in their essential responsibilities, as necessary Provide a safe, clean, organized and inviting environment for both patients and staff Perform other duties and assume various responsibilities as determined by the office manager and doctor(s) EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE High school graduate or equivalent Previous medical office experience is required Previous experience in ophthalmology is preferred One year of supervisory experience is required COMPETENCIES Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Decisive leadership with above average judgment Detail oriented, self-starter, with strong organizational skills Able to effectively sustain multiple, simultaneous tasks Ability to lead, motivate, and promote a team environment Ability to build and maintain good rapport with the doctors, staff and patients, and handle situations with confidence, tact and resourcefulness Proactive, adaptable, with the ability to work under pressure to accomplish projects and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT (per ADA guidelines) Physical Activity: Standing for sustained periods of time, Talking, Hearing. Physical requirements: Light work. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform each activity. PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT Staff members are required to meet training expectations within the initial 90-day orientation period. Obtaining certification in ophthalmic field is encouraged.
