Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in telemetry License: Current RN License eligible for licensure in the state Certifications: BLS from AHA required, NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Experience and competence in drug titration Description: Position involves providing direct patient care activities for individuals of all age groups. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Utilize the nursing process to ensure high-quality patient care. Maintain professional accountability for the provision of patient care. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care providers. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. Ensure patient rights and confidentiality of patient information are maintained. Perform duties in accordance with established guidelines of nursing practice and organizational values. Be prepared to stand and walk most of the time while on duty. Meet unit-specific physical demands including bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance. There may be high-risk exposure to blood and body fluids. Physical demands may include pushing, pulling, grip strength, kneeling, crouching, and minimal crawling. Utilize the nursing process to care for patients post trauma and surgical interventions. Flexibility in scheduling, shifts, and days may be necessary depending on patient care requirements.
