School-Based Therapist (Independent Contractor)

Position Overview Devereux invites qualified professionals to serve as School‑Based Therapists within our Florida Counseling Center operating in Orange and Osceola Counties. This independent contractor role is open to licensed and non‑licensed clinicians who are eligible for licensure in Florida. Location The position is based out of Orlando, FL, with travel to schools in Orange and Osceola Counties and for virtual sessions with community partners. Responsibilities Travel to schools and collaborate in person with staff, CBCs, and DCF for referrals. Provide individual, family, and group counseling sessions. Develop individualized master treatment plans. Complete required clinical documentation. Participate in multidisciplinary team reviews of client treatment, goals, progress, and future needs. Attend training sessions and meetings with supervisor during business hours and afterschool hours as required. Qualifications Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field. Must be license eligible in Florida; LMHC, LMFT, or LCSW licensure is supported via free supervision hours. Minimum age of 21 years. Successful completion of background check, medical screening, drug test, TB test, and Level 2 Florida state background screening. Availability during business hours and afterschool hours. Benefits and Compensation This is an independent contractor position and does not provide benefits. The organization offers free supervision hours for LMHC, LMFT, and LCSW licensure and flexible scheduling.
